Hats Off to Starbucks’ Cause

Written by Merve on October 29, 2008

Starbucks holds an annual cause helping out the people in need. The latest social work that they have been doing has to do with helping fight AIDS and tuberclosis in Africa, in partnership with REDS.

With or without the said ties, Starbucks has had a good history of helping out people in need, especially when the holiday season sets afoot. The program is something that can be seen with other causes but the thing is, they are consistent.

In all parts of the world, this practice is something common. Considering that they are more than just a coffee serving company, you have to admire how they put emphasis in giving back to society for placing them where they are and connecting the people in need with their customers.

Such a cause is something that adds to their brand image as well, focusing more on being able to help unfortunate people that really require aid and assistance. Starbucks is in a bind as well as it is slowly feeling the hard times of doing business worldwide. But despite all these factors in crisis, you cannot help but tip your hat towards the efforts that this coffee serving institution has been doing since years back until the present.

“Starbucks gives (Red) the opportunity to do something good every day,” said Jenifer Willig, director of partner management and marketing at (Red). “We have amazing partners who have great products, but this is an everyday product. We can bring the power of the Starbucks community together to help raise millions of dollars and save thousands of lives in Africa.”
